Broad River Community Market works to improve access to fresh, local produce for people across Cleveland County. Through partnerships with local farmers, we provide free produce and eggs at pop-up markets in Shelby and surrounding communities—absolutely free.
Supporting Cleveland County Food Access
Many communities in Cleveland County have difficulty accessing fresh, nutritious food despite the agricultural work taking place in around them. Broad River Community Market focuses on bridging that gap by connecting local farms and their products with people who need them most.
We believe that connecting farmers with their neighbors in need makes a big impact in improving community health and nutrition, addressing local food insecurity, and promoting the development of our local food economy.
